Hi friends – We have all been there. You have had a rough day and you are feeling defended. One of those mornings when you are not 100% and feeling sluggish. As you wrestle with your thoughts wondering how you could have handled that person or situation differently. These days, I am so grateful for my relationship with the Lord. He understands our thoughts and feelings and hears my prayers.
Review – Psalm 13: 1-4
Receive – God truly understands where we are coming from and what we need. This psalm is by King David and you can tell by reading through this scripture that David was honest and real with God. David also knew what to do in the end which was praise the Lord.
Respond in prayer – Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for understanding me and my emotions. I know in the difficult seasons I can connect with you. I give you praise Lord Jesus. Amen.
Psalm 13
1 How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3 Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5 But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.
