Hi friends – There is a beautiful scripture in the Bible. It is in Psalm 23. It goes hand in hand with the name of God I am highlighting – God our Shepherd. The Lord is my shepherd and this name of God – Jehovah Ro’i meaning God the Shepherd give us an amazing picture of God and His loving caring character. Let’s dig a little deeper friends.
Review – Take a moment and read through Psalm 23.
Receive – As you read through Psalm 23 I hope you were able to see how much God loves and cares for you. God is our shepherd for daily life. He guides us along the right path and the Lord restores us. This is only a part of what God is promising to do for us.
Respond in prayer – Dear Lord Jesus – Thank you for your hand on my life. I am grateful that you care for me in a deep and meaningful way. Remind me every day that you are my shepherd and ultimately guide for life. Amen.
Psalm 23 – The Lord is my shepherd
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
