Hi friends – I hope your week is off to a good start. We are going to take a look at Psalm 25. The word trust is highlighted in this verse. Digging into scripture and discovering the meaning of words allows us to gain a greater understanding of scripture. Let’s explore this Psalm together.
Review – Read through Psalm 25:1-5
Receive – The word Lord in the first verse refers to the proper name of the one true God, Jesus Christ. The word trust means that you can completely put your confidence in someone or something. Remember friend you can put your trust in the one true God. What powerful verses to receive today.
Dig a little deeper – In verse four it says show me your ways Lord and teach me your paths. You can come before the Lord – the one true God and ask Him to direct your path. God is longing to hear from you and guide your steps.
Respond in prayer – Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you that you are the one true God and I can put my trust in you every day. I am grateful that you direct my path. Amen.
1 In you, Lord my God,
I put my trust.
2 I trust in you;
do not let me be put to shame,
nor let my enemies triumph over me.
3 No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame,
but shame will come on those
who are treacherous without cause.
4 Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
Until next time my friends remember you are known and loved by God. Blessings!
