Wisdom Wednesday – Trust in the Lord

Hi friends – To start off the year we are going to take a look at Proverbs 3:5-6. I was reintroduced to this scripture as an adult. The words are encouraging and the message will change how you look at life circumstances. Sometimes life can be challenging to navigate and meant to be left in God’s hands. This scripture speaks to your heart from the heart of your heavenly Father. When we trust Him he will make our path straight. Let’s take a look together:

Review – Proverbs 3:5-6. As you read it, take note of any words that stick out to you. These moments are when God could be speaking to you through holy scripture.

Receive – The first-word trust means having confidence, feeling secure, and relying on. Let those meanings sink into your heart. The word understanding means good sense, insight, and discernment. That part of the verse tells us that we can’t lean on our own understanding. Sometimes things just don’t make sense in life and we need to leave these details with the Lord. This is not easy and remember God is in control.

Respond in prayer – Dear Lord Jesus, Help me to trust you with all my heart. Amen

Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Until next time my friends remember you are known and loved by God. Blessings!
