Teaching Tuesday – Psalm 33 – Praise God

Hi friends – As we continue to journey through the Psalms I would encourage you to pay close attention to the meanings of the words in scripture. The more you dig into scripture the more God will reveal to you. Each Psalm is unique and has something for us to learn.

Review – The word sing means to sing, sign with joy, call forth songs and jubilant song. The word righteous (also from verse one) means we are upright, just and innocent. When we give our lives to the Lord we are righteous. Keep this in mind as we review the next section.

Receive – There are many ways to worship God and one of them can be a joyful song. We are righteous in His eyes and He loves to hear songs of praise.

Respond in prayer – Dear Lord Jesus, I give you praise, honour and glory. You are faithful and true in every season. Amen.

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
    it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Praise the Lord with the harp;
    make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song;
    play skillfully, and shout for joy.

For the word of the Lord is right and true;
    he is faithful in all he does.

Until next time my friends remember you are known and loved by God. Blessings!
